Season Report

Debut Champion: Leo!!! AKA LeoB2804 🏆

So there we have the first Splinter League season. Running for a massive five months from June to November, the season took a while to find it’s administrative feet and will forever be remember for momentum killing delays, largely down to one particular bowlsman, who shall remain unnamed^*.

Tissington topped the table after Round One with a superb, explosive start to the season, before form massively dropped off a massive cliff from Round Two onwards when he could no longer hit a proverbial bar door. This drop in form coincided with Leo changing his username into bot-type username, and then becoming an actual bot. The months passed, and Birdy, when he could be arsed to participate, kept things interesting on a competitive level, leaving Leo with a slender lead coming into the final Round Four. But because Leo had become a bot he swiftly killed off any excitement and simply got the job done. Boxall and Tissington languished, hoping for a much better Winter season. Perhaps they are more winter bowlsmen? I, for one, look forward to finding out.

So it’s a massive congratulations to Leo, with a huge 11 wins out of 12, for the first ever Splinter League Title – our 2024-01 champion!!!
